When you use GetBot to download from a Web site, GetBot communicates with that site. This is the only Internet communication that GetBot makes. GetBot doesn't track your use of it or your computer, and never makes secret communications to any third party.

No Bundled Software

When you install GetBot, that's all you'll get. GetBot doesn't try to install other programs on your computer that you don't want.

No Advertising

GetBot doesn't install advertising software, and never displays advertisements. GetBot is supported by users who buy it. This means it doesn't have to try to make money from your computer, as many other free programs do.

Doesn't Change System Menus

When you install GetBot, it will add an icon to your Start menu. It won't clutter your desktop or taskbar with icons. Installing GetBot won't change any right-click menus in Windows or Internet Explorer. GetBot doesn't run software when your computer starts.

GetBot doesn't register any file extensions or MIME types.

No Browser Integration

GetBot doesn't take over downloads in your browser, and will never pop open unexpectedly. Installing GetBot won't change how your browser downloads files. This lets you choose when to download with GetBot and when to download with your browser.

To uninstall GetBot, go to Control Panel and click Add or Remove Programs. GetBot removes without leaving a trace behind.

No Rebooting

You can install and remove GetBot without having to restart your computer.

System Requirements

GetBot requires Windows 95, Windows 98, Windows Me, Windows NT 4.0, Windows 2000, Windows XP, or Windows Server 2003. Windows 95 and Windows NT 4.0 must be updated with Internet Explorer 4.0 or later for GetBot to run.
